Brasilia Handmade Modern Simple Elegant TENCEL™ Special Loom Rug PLAIN BEIGE
Brasilia TENCEL™ Handcrafted Black Loom Rug – Beige (Beige)
The Brasilia Series consists of rugs with modern, minimalist designs, handcrafted on special black looms. Made from Lyocell (TENCEL™), these rugs stand out for their eco-friendly and sustainable construction. The 5 mm pile height provides a soft surface, while the 168,000 knot count creates a dense and durable weave. Weighing 1700 g/m², it offers lightweight yet sturdy performance. This variant comes in a warm, neutral beige (beige) shade.
What Is TENCEL™ (Lyocell)?
TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lyocell fiber, which is produced from wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests. The closed-loop process used in production recovers most of the solvent, consuming less water and energy than conventional production. TENCEL™ fiber is known for its softness, moisture-regulating properties, and natural sheen; its breathable, skin-friendly structure adds a comfortable feel to living spaces. In the Brasilia Series, TENCEL™ fiber gives the rug a silky softness and sustainable character. For more information about the certified and eco-friendly production of TENCEL™ fiber, visit our sustainability and certifications page.

How Should a TENCEL™ Rug Be Cleaned?
Brasilia Series TENCEL™ rugs should only be washed by professional rug-cleaning companies. Since Lyocell fiber can be sensitive in wet conditions, washing at home or cleaning with excessive water may damage the texture; therefore, leaving deep cleaning to a professional rug-cleaning service will help preserve the rug’s texture and natural sheen for a long time.

Protect Elegance
A delicate care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia's handwoven and natural-fiber pieces, which add value to your living space, for generations to come.
Immediate Action and Contact with Liquids
When liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only, never rubbing. Always work in the direction of the rug's pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If you are unsure, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuum cleaners and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural yarns to light and prevent localized tonal differences (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
The Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. Such products can irreversibly damage the rug's silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
The exquisite pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their construction. (Only our specific models clearly labeled "Washable" may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
